Privacy information
Limited product analytics
This page covers only teacher-workspace product analytics, not every way Exersa processes account or student information.
Who is responsible?
Exersa is operated by Jonathan Luis Santos Mendes. For questions or privacy requests, email Exersa.io@gmail.com.
What is counted?
When a teacher successfully adds a student, generates questions or assigns homework, Exersa increments one global total for that action on that UTC day. The number of generated questions is also added. Counts are not split by teacher, school or student. We do not add names, account or browser IDs, email addresses, IP addresses, answers, prompts, lesson text or page URLs to these totals.
Why and where?
The totals show which preparation steps are used so we can improve Exersa. After a day ends, Exersa sends only that day's totals to its PostHog EU Cloud project. PostHog receives a technical ID for each daily summary, not an ID for a teacher or student. PostHog Inc. is US-based; access from outside the European Economic Area may occur under contractual safeguards. Its project is configured to discard IP addresses. There is no PostHog browser SDK, automatic click tracking or session recording.
Limits
These limited global counts run without an analytics consent button or analytics cookie. They cannot show an individual teacher's journey. A daily total could still suggest activity when very few people use Exersa, so we do not describe the counts as guaranteed anonymous. Previously collected opt-in events remain separate in PostHog; the old consent cookie is no longer used for counting and expires in the browser.
Storage and rights
A daily cleanup deletes exported totals older than 90 days from Exersa's database. PostHog's current free plan guarantees one year of event retention and events may remain longer. Contact us for access, correction, objection or deletion requests. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
